Vector + Photography Mashup

Four equal-sized billboards hang on a deteriorating wall. The billboards do not have any images or text on them, and they are covered with white paper. The section of the block wall above the billboards is losing most of its red covering, appearing gray with scattered cracks.

This assignment will require students to use all their knowledge gathered so far in this Course of adobe illustrator and adobe photoshop and also to expand their use of portrait photography.

Students will capture their own images using their cell to use as the person in the assignment. Students will then complete a vector photo mash up design inspired by the work of Selman Hoşgör

The assignment requires that:

you explore a variety of poses and composition options for your design.
Explore the possibilities of using a color or b/w image
You use the existing vector illustrator skill to create shapes and objects to mash up your image
Using strong vibrant colors

Assignment Objective

Demonstrate a secondary level knowledge of Illustrator tools and techniques to perfect your design
Understand and practice the concept and idea of composition and posing of a subject

End results

A 13×19 design in Adobe illustrator pdf or Adobe Photoshop saved as a jpg
