Each student will select a year. All four of my classes will create a piece/year of the timeline.
- Research the events that occurred the year you have selected.
- All events must be US History events
- Choose 4-6 events from the year and create a design around the art and item you find through your research.
- Design must use a grid (set guides at 5”, 10” & 15” Horizontal and Vertical)
- Design can use a variety of type and sizes (Max of 3)
- Only black and white for color.
- Design must include the year
- Simple symbols and silhouettes as art to help express your events.
Your Completed design will be one piece out of an 85 year timeline.

Setting up your document + Grid
Create a file: File> New Document size: 20 inches x 20 inches
Create Guides at 5 inches, 10 inches, 15 inches. To view your rulers hit Control R
– Click on the top ruler and leave you mouse pressed in while you drag down.
– Release a guide at 5 inches, 10 inches, 15 inches.
– Click on the Side ruler and leave you mouse pressed in while you drag down.
– Release a guide at 5 inches, 10 inches, 15 inches.
