HIERARCHY {SEQUENCING OF QUANTITIES OF TEXT}

Large quantities of text can be daunting if designers do not take responsibility for breaking information down into different levels and groupings. This Final gives you the opportunity to explore various ways of providing the reader with AT LEAST THREE through which to access information.

{LEVEL 1} Headline copy to take in at a glance

{LEVEL 2} Elaborates on the headline and can still be absorbed fairly quickly

{LEVEL 3} Body copy that fills in the details, Unfortunately, the middle level is frequently omitted or underplayed.

This project will encourage the handling of the “middle ” level so that it not only leads the submissive reader through the text in a set order, but also holds the attention of more resistant viewers, and keeps drawing them back in.

Find an article online copy and paste the headline, author and body copy into the layout layer of an 11 x 17 illustrator I provided you with. Rearrange the text so that it uses at least 3 Levels to lead the reader through the article. and create a design that has a heavy emphasis on design.
